Assistant Professor of Art, Bethel University, McKenzie, TN.
Head of the university’s art department.  Instruct students in both studio art courses and art history courses.  Participated in the creation of a new program.  Organize one-campus art-related events.  Faculty advisor to the campus Art Club.  Utilize online "blogging" for supplementary class material, student portfolios, and communication between students outside the classroom.  Responsible for budgeting, program development, and curriculum.  Relevant courses: Drawing, Painting, 2D Design, Art History Survey, Non-Western Art History, Computer Art, Digital Photography, Art Education.

2010-2011

Work with emotionally and behaviorally troubled children ages 7-11 in a residential treatment environment.  Engage residents in treatment-focused activities as well as daily routines and rituals.  Lead lessons in life skills, anger management, art, and recreational therapy.  Trained many new employees and interns.

Participated in a group exhibition of Carroll County artists.  Event was designed to expose the community to local art.

2006-2012
Horn Island 22-25, Memphis College of Art, Memphis, TN.
Participated in six annual excursions to Horn Island, Mississippi.  Participants engage in primitive camping for nine days and create a body of artwork shown in a large exhibition on display for the months of August and September.  Provided image for 2007 promotional materials.  Created a slideshow video for the 2011 exhibition.  Unable to attend 2010 due to health issues.
